Mentoring

When I first started teaching, I was lucky. I had a brilliant mentor—someone who gave me honest feedback, helped me make sense of programming, and reminded me that it’s okay not to have all the answers straight away. That support made a massive difference. It helped me grow faster, feel more confident, and actually enjoy the process of figuring it all out.

Now that I’ve been teaching for a few years, I’ve found myself naturally stepping into that role for others. Since moving to Melbourne, I’ve met some incredible instructors—talented, thoughtful, ready to work—but many of them have said the same thing: “I finished my course and then… that was it.” No real guidance, no one to check in with, no idea if what they were doing made sense or not.

That’s where mentoring comes in.

Sometimes you don’t need a full workshop or another training—just someone to run their eyes over your program, help you tweak a sequence, or talk through a tricky class you’ve got coming up. Someone who gets the language, the pressure, and the weird little doubts that come up when you’re teaching movement.

That’s what I offer. Nothing fancy—just real, honest support for instructors who want to keep learning, but don’t want to do it completely alone.

If that’s you, let’s talk. I’d love to help.
